Senior Healthcare Industry Exec Joins Compressus as VP, Operations

Washington, DC, August 15, 2013–We are pleased to announce that James R. Way is joining Compressus as Vice President of Operations. Jim is a senior executive with deep experience across key facets of the healthcare industry. As VP of Operations at Compressus, Jim is responsible for solutions deployment, infrastructure standard practices, and professional services.

Before joining Compressus, Jim served in a variety of roles focused on operations, technology services and project leadership. Jim has extensive Fortune 100 executive management experience as Vice President, IT Operations with Siemens Health Services, and has held senior executive roles with Stanley Healthcare Solutions and Franciscan Health System. Jim brings to Compressus a valuable combination of skills in P&L management, information technology, sales, operations and project management.

Jim’s accomplishments are highly relevant to his solutions deployment responsibility here at Compressus. He has led a number of large complex healthcare IT projects – bringing them to successful completion. He is intimately familiar with the leading-edge healthcare software solutions in the marketplace. Commenting on the benefits of MEDxConnect™, Jim states: “Compressus MEDxConnect offers a software solution that overcomes the hurdles associated with medical imaging workflow and interoperability (Radiology, Cardiology, Pathology, etc). It connects existing imaging systems and databases making them accessible with a single worklist, and then drives the workflow with a highly configurable rules engine. MEDxConnect acts as a communication hub, allowing information exchange to occur enterprise wide. This provides the physician with access to all pertinent patient information seamlessly and in a consistent format.

The solution is built to be tailored to each customer’s workflow and easily manages auto-routing for subspecialty reads which improves workflow. Higher throughput is accomplished, with a higher accuracy and reduced staffing while improving quality of patient care. Most important, physicians experience drastically improved productivity, regardless of care area.”

Jim holds an MBA from Lebanon Valley College and a BS in Marketing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. We welcome Jim to the Compressus team!
